While 32-year-old Cliff Lee is set to face the New York Yankees at the new Yankee Stadium in Game 3 of the ALCS, there's still plenty of talk that the veteran lefty could join the Bronx Bombers this offseason.See, Lee, a combined 12-9 with a 3.18 ERA between the Mariners and Rangers, is a free agent following this season. Jon Heyman of SI.com has reported that Lee will likely be looking for a contract similar to the one the Yankees offered fellow lefty CC Sabathia two years ago: seven years at $161 million.
Of course, how Lee fares in Game 3—and potentially beyond—could play a major role in whether or not he gets CC-level money.
