Chelsea Clinton's Wedding was held on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Clinton, daughter of former U.S. President Bill Clinton and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, married investment banker Marc Mezvinsky. The wedding ceremony took place at the Astor Courts estate in Rhinebeck, New York, which is a 50 acre estate located in upstate New York. The wedding was estimated to have cost between $2 million and $5 million.
Clinton's wedding dress was a white organza gown designed by Vera Wang, who is reportedly a friend of the family. Wang, who was a guest at the wedding, also designed the bridesmaids dresses and Chelsea Clinton's second dress for the reception which followed the wedding. The second dress was said to have been a Grecian style dress with a thin black belt. Her mother, Hillary Clinton, wore a raspberry gown designed by Oscar De La Renta. The groom and his father wore tuxedos designed by Burberry, though Mezvinsky's was said to have been a custom tuxedo made with wool and mohair.
There were approximately 500 people in attendance at the wedding, which was under heavy security due to the media. In attendance were actor Ted Danson and wife Mary Steenburgen. Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Clinton fundraiser Terry McAuliffe and Anthony Weiner.
