Tila Tequila, who was attacked while on stage last weekend during a Gathering of the Juggalos (Splash)
The reality TV star, whose ambition is to become a singer, jumped on stage at the festival despite being warned not to and was consequently hit by bottles and rubbish.
Organises said in a statement that although being warned of the danger, Tequila ‘seemed to mock and further antagonise the crowd’ by exposing her breasts.
They added that the incident was ‘extremely unfortunate’, but denied that they were to blame.
Organises added in the statement: ‘Ms. Tequila was made aware, in advance, of her unpopularity with many Juggalos at the Gathering, but she insisted on performing.
She was paid in advance and told she could keep the money if she decided not to perform and that she could leave the stage the minute that she felt uncomfortable.’
Juggalos are fans of the band Insane Clown Posse, who performed at the festival.
