Samsung Galaxy 3 (i5800)

Samsung is super serious when it comes to Android. The Korean company not only has the high-end of the market covered with the Galaxy S series, but also the mid-range with devices such as the Galaxy 3 (i5800). And that’s the phone we’ll talk about today, as it has been announced in Germany.

Available for 299 EUR (about $386), the Galaxy 3 rocks a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, Android 2.1, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus, 3.5mm headset jack and a microSD memory card slot. Software wise, there’s a suite for Google-made apps and services, like GMail, Google Talk, Google Maps, YouTube and so on.
In other words, 3 hundred Euros buys you more than a decent device. I wouldn’t be surprised it also (like Galaxy S), gets a “Pro” version that would keep the same specs, but also include a QWERTY keyboard to the mix. I can easily see such phone selling like hot cupcakes…

Digg is a website made for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the Internet, by submitting links and stories, and voting and commenting on submitted links and stories, in a social and democratic spirit. Voting stories up and down is the site's cornerstone function, respectively called digging and burying. Many stories get submitted every day, but only the most dugg stories appear on the front page.
